The Kraken

Below the thunders of the upper deep,
Far far beneath in the abysmal sea,
His ancient, dreamless, uninvaded sleep
The Kraken sleepeth: faintest sunlights flee
About his shadowy sides: above him swell
Huge sponges of millennial growth and height;
And far away into the sickly light,
From many a wondrous grot and secret cell
Unnumbered and enormous polypi
Winnow with giant fins the slumbering green.
There hath he lain for ages and will lie
Battening upon huge seaworms in his sleep,
Until the latter fire shall heat the deep;
Then once by men and angels to be seen,
In roaring he shall rise and on the surface die.

Mexican Sugar Skull Nail Art

Hi guys, here's a quick post to show you my Mexican Sugar Skull nails. I thought these would be nice for halloween as they are not too gross or scary (unlike some designs I have done in the past)! I love how you can use whatever colours and make them as detailed or simple as you like. My nails are all different shapes and sizes which is why I added in the black at the edges so they all looked the same shape at least. I have made a YouTube tutorial for this look if you'd like to try this out yourselves (Click here if you do!). When you're there please 'thumbs up' and Subscribe to my channel as I'm planning on creating more video tutorials in the future. Hope you're all well and see you soon with another nail design.

Monochrome Border/Outline Nails

I've seen these border/outline nails around for a while now but have never attempted this design myself. I'd always assumed it would be quite difficult and not really look right on my nails as they are all different shapes and lengths. But it turns out that they are really quite easy to do and don't look too bad on my different shaped nails. I'm really pleased I tried this design out and will definitely wear it on my nails again, maybe in a different colour combination. Although the black and white is really striking and I've had a lot of compliments on them. Have you tried out the border/outline nail art? What do you think?

Vintage Pastel Nails

Hello! Just a simple nail design today after the past Doctor Who themed nails. This design was super easy to create and would work with loads of different colour combinations. I painted all my nails lilac and used a baby pink for the ring finger. I then used a thin striping brush and created the triangle shaped tip at the end of top of each nail. I added some gold studs to the ring finger and thumbs just to add some detail. I think the colours work really well together and I can't wait to try out this design in other colours!

Bow Ties are Cool

Hello sweetie! Sorry, enough of the Doctor Who puns! This is my second Doctor Who design, it's a little more 'cartoon-like' than the last one but a lot more eye-catching. I used round silver studs for the Dalek, and glitter for the stars behind the TARDIS. Everything else is just nail polish, thin nail art brushes and dotting tools. I'm really pleased with how they turned out and hope you all like them too. xoxo

Doctor Who Nail Art

As a self-confessed Whovian, I'm not sure why it has taken me so long to create Doctor Who nail art. Bad wolf (teehee). I used the classic 'cosmic' nail art on all of my nails and then added detail in on the thumb and ring finger. The Doctor Who logo was easier to do that I initially thought using a white striper brush it was easy to create the straight lines. I then added in some pale blue with a sponge just to add some colour to the logo and blend it in with the other nails. On the ring finger I painted a TARDIS, this was a little harder as I had to paint little lines on the windows with a striper brush, if I had more room I would have also liked to have added 'Police Box' text along the top. Keep your eyes peeled if you are a Whovian like myself as I am planning on another Doctor Who theme design very soon. All I can say is... Bow ties are cool.

Florescent Yellow

Hi all! This nail design is very simple but stands out and I find that I get loads of compliments when I have these nails. I started with a Nails Inc navy base (I needed two coats to get it this dark) I then used a striper brush in white polish and created two thin lines in a triangle shape on each nail. Once these had dried I went over the white lines with another striper brush dipped in a fluorescent yellow polish. This design would look great in any colour combo, the more the colours clash the better :)
